Interpretation

Words with an initial capital letter have meanings defined below. These definitions apply whether the terms appear in singular or plural form.

Definitions

• You – the individual accessing or using the ReelSave application.
• Company / We / Us / Our – the developer of the ReelSave application.
• Application – the ReelSave mobile app available on Google Play.
• Device – any device used to access the Application (phone, tablet, etc.).
• Personal Data – any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• Usage Data – data collected automatically when using the Application.
• Service Provider – any third party that processes data on Our behalf.

Data We Collect

Clipboard Data

ReelSave reads clipboard content only when you tap the Paste button, to retrieve the video link you wish to download. We do not read your clipboard in the background at any other time.

Storage Permission

The app requests storage access solely to save downloaded videos and media files to your device gallery. We do not access any other files on your device.

Usage Data

We may automatically collect limited technical information including:

• Device model and operating system version
• App version and unique device identifiers
• IP address and approximate country/region
• Time zone and language settings
• Crash logs and error reports

This data is used only to improve app stability and performance. It is never sold to third parties.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service – processing video download requests via our secure backend API.
• To maintain and improve the app – diagnosing crashes and fixing bugs using anonymized usage data.
• To serve advertisements – displaying ads through Google AdMob to support the free service.
• To comply with legal obligations – responding to lawful requests from authorities where required.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

ReelSave uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing its data use:

Google Analytics / Firebase

Used for anonymized crash reporting and usage analytics. Data collected includes device model, OS version, and app session data. No personally identifiable information is shared.

RapidAPI

Our backend uses RapidAPI to process video download requests. The video URL you submit is sent to our secure server and forwarded to the relevant platform handler. We do not store your submitted URLs beyond the duration of the request.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

ReelSave is a free app supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to display ads within the application.

AdMob may collect and use data such as your advertising ID, device information, and approximate location to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

Data Retention

We retain Usage Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — typically no longer than 90 days for crash and analytics data.

Video URLs submitted for download are not stored permanently on our servers. They are processed in real time and discarded after the response is delivered.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all API communication
• HMAC-SHA256 request signing to prevent replay attacks
• Server-side API key storage — no sensitive keys are embedded in the APK
• Private IP blocking (SSRF protection) on our proxy endpoints

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

GDPR – Your Rights (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right of Access – Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification – Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to Erasure – Request deletion of your personal data.
• Right to Object – Object to processing of your personal data.
• Right to Data Portability – Request transfer of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to Withdraw Consent – Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

Children's Privacy

ReelSave is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove that information from our systems.

Links to Other Websites

The ReelSave app processes links to third-party platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms.

We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party service you use.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the Last updated date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the ReelSave app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
